SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION STEPS

The initial application form and Mechanical Aptitude Test MUST be completed by February 15th.  You should allow two weeks to schedule the Mechanical Aptitude Test.  Read the following:

1. Complete online Application Form and Submit

2. Take the Mechanical Aptitude Test
      – The Mechanical Aptitude Test cannot be taken online.  We will send the test to a proctor to monitor your test.  If you do not have a proctor at your school, please contact us.
      – You cannot study for the test.  It is not an open book or open note test.  It is a test designed to assess your basic abilities to comprehend fundamental mechanical concepts, rather than a test of your acquired knowledge.
     – The test is multiple-choice with additional written explanations where you explain your answer.  You must write legibly so that our Selection Committee can read your writing; your explanations are as important as your multiple-choice answers.

If you meet the requirements on the Mechanical Aptitude Test, you will then complete a second application form (see link below) and the following 3 steps no later than March 14, 2024:

3. Arrange with your school to send an official transcript.

4. Have a Faculty Member of your school send a recommendation to either the address or email listed below.

5. Take the WOWI career assessment survey which helps to determine not only the applicant’s abilities, but more importantly, his/her/their interests.
     – You will be registered to take the WOWI if your mechanical test score and application pass the initial screening by the Selection Committee.  The WOWI is an important part of the Committee’s final decision.
     – You must do your best to answer all questions.  If any are left unanswered, it does not give the Committee a complete picture of your strengths.
     – You can take the WOWI profile over several sessions.
     – You do not have to send us the results as we are able to access them.
